Buildher Course: Let’s build stools!

LIMITED NUMBER OF SPACES AVAILABLE!

Need an extra seat, a small shoe bench, a stepping stool in the kitchen or simply a reason to start making things yourself? Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to build a simple wooden stool!

Over four evenings at Buildher, we’ll create and build together. With guidance from the Buildher volunteer team, you’ll get hands-on practice with tools, materials, and skills that will help you for future projects. By the end, you’ll not only have built something useful, but you’ll also be part of a growing reuse community here in Trondheim.

Examples of types of things you can do:

• A stepping stool 
• A garden stool
• An outdoor bench
• A small entryway shoe bench
• Build a simple utility stool using reclaimed materials

Schedule:

2nd Septembert: Introduction & ideas: We’ll get to know each other, share what we want to repair or build, look at available materials, and get an introduction to the tools.

9th & 16th September: Build: Hands-on time in the workshop. Since you build what you like, there is no strict “step-by-step” instructions. However, the Buildher team will provide guidance and a helping hand.

23rd September: Wrap-up & community social: Final tweaks, finishing touches, and time to admire what we’ve made together.

Who can join: Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to join. This workshop is beginner-friendly and designed to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

We also are big fans of reusing and recycling. So wherever possible we will reuse material. If you need additional materials for your design, then it is up to you to source them.

Note: painting/varnishing of your design will need to be done in your own time.
